The work that fills the diary, in the order it actually happens.
Six in ten of our last 514 files were deletes with no power tune. Stage 1 covers most of the rest. This page is in that order, because that is the truth of it.
The faults that put a car in limp mode.
These systems exist to cut pollution, and when they work, they do it. They also fail. Dosing pumps, quality sensors, crystallised injectors, filters that will not regenerate — and a vehicle that drops into limp mode, or counts down to one that will not restart at all. That failure is what people bring to us. Below is what our software does, and what it does not.
DPF Solutions
A blocked diesel particulate filter drops the vehicle into limp mode, wrecks the economy, and can cost four figures to replace. We write the software that stops the ECU running regeneration cycles and monitoring the filter, so the warnings and the limp mode stop.
What it does not do:it does not clean, repair or extend the life of the filter. The software changes nothing about the physical part.
AdBlue / SCR Solutions
AdBlue faults are expensive and badly timed — dosing pumps, quality sensors, crystallised injectors, and a countdown that ends in a vehicle that will not restart. We write the software that stops the ECU dosing and monitoring the SCR system, so the countdown and the warnings stop.
What it does not do:it does not repair the SCR system or make it work better. The system stops being used. It does not get fixed.
EGR Solutions
EGR valves clog with soot and oil, stick, and take running quality and reliability with them. We write the software that stops the ECU commanding and monitoring the valve.
What it does not do:it does not clean or replace the valve. If the valve is stuck open it stays stuck open — that is a mechanical job, and we will tell you so rather than sell you software that will not fix it.
DTC removal
A single stubborn fault code, removed from the map rather than cleared and waiting to return. Done daily, usually alongside one of the jobs above.
Intake-flap (swirl flap) solutions
Swirl flaps wear, stick and in the worst case drop into the manifold. We map the flap control out after the flaps are blanked, so no fault light follows the mechanical fix.
Stage 1 remapping, petrol and diesel.
A remap within the tolerance of standard hardware — no mechanical changes needed. Most often written alongside a delete, on the same visit, in the same file.
Stage 2 is available where the supporting hardware is fitted — ask, and we will tell you straight whether the car warrants it. It ran twice in our last 514 files, so we will not pretend it is the core of the business.
